Both the Shaba and Laikipia reserves offer an opportunity to enjoy the Kenyan wilderness away
from the crowds and provide an entirely different terrain from that you will experience in the Masai Mara.
The dry rugged wilderness of Shaba features bubbling hot springs, rolling savanna, miles of scrub and desert.
The Mara is of course the pinnacle of most safaris to Kenya and a stay at Elephant Pepper Camp will ensure secluded game viewing from the camp.

Day 1 - 3: Laikipia Plateau
On arrival at Nairobi Airport you will be transferred to Wilson Airport to catch a scheduled flight to Laikipia and to Segera Retreat.
Segera Retreat, Laikipia Plateau
Segera Retreat is a camp running entirely on solar energy and comprising seven two-storey villas gazing over the Laikipia Plateau with views of Mount Kenya. Activities available at Segera Retreat include game drives, walks, hides or sleep-outs, visits to cultural villages.
Optional helicopter flights can be arranged for those looking to venture further afield to the slopes of Mount Kenya to fish trout, Visit the singing wells, harsh, inhospitable and mysterious Suguta Valley or even Quad Bike Excursion in Northern Kenya's frontier.

Day 4 - 6: Laikipia Plateau - Shaba / Samburu National Park
Today you will transfer by road to Shaba National Reserve and to Joy’s Camp situated at Joy Adamson’s original campsite (of Born Free fame).

Joy’s Camp is the perfect place for those interested in a glimpse of Kenyan history, as well as those looking for an authentic wildlife experience combined with the comfort of a luxury, tented camp. Activities on offer include game drives, walks, bush breakfasts, sundowners and cultural visits.

Day 7 - 10: Samburu National Park – Maasai Mara Game Reserve
After an early breakfast, you will be transferred to the airstrip for your scheduled flight to the Masai Mara, which offers a true wildlife experience, hard to duplicate anywhere else in the world. From the airstrip you will be transferred to Elephant Pepper Camp, looking out across the Mara’s vast open savannah plains.

Elephant Pepper Camp brings people back to nature – no traffic, no permanent structures, just the sights and sounds of the African bush. Activities include day and night game drives, bush walks, bush meals, sundowners and massages.

Day 11: Maasai Mara Game Reserve – Nairobi City
After a last game drive in the Masai Mara, catch your scheduled flight back to Nairobi. A representative will meet and transfer you to your Nairobi hotel or to the international airport.
